Bonnae Gokson brings a lifetime of experience in the luxury fashion and lifestyle business to bear at Ms B Cakery and C’est La B.

Exposed to refined taste and impeccable style through her upbringing and travels, Bonnae played a pivotal role in shaping the tastes of Hong Kong when she worked alongside her sister Joyce Ma, doyen of fashion and founder of the JOYCE Group, as Chief visual merchandiser/buyer and right-hand woman. In the 1980s and 90s, the renowned group introduced almost all of the most powerful luxury fashion brands to Hong Kong and expanded into a lifestyle emporium with over 50 boutiques in Asia. Bonnae conceptualised the famed Joyce Café, turning it into a celebrated eatery for the international jet set and the beau monde.

Subsequently, she brought her talents to CHANEL, redefining their image for the Asia Pacific region.

Embarking on her own ventures, Bonnae launched Ms B’s CAKERY with a vision to create beautifully handmade and bespoke cakes. She introduced exquisitely handcrafted sugar art which raised the bar for cake culture in Hong Kong. With passion, imagination and integrity, she has introduced over 40 varieties of cakes that taste as extraordinary as they look. A perfect harmony of sublime flavours, textures, premium natural ingredients and creative presentation make Ms B’s cakes the finest in Asia and set Ms B’s CAKERY apart from its imitators.

For Ms B’s Weddings, she designs one-of-a-kind, ultra luxury wedding cakes that take centre stage.

Such is the allure of her cakes that Colin Cowie, American events and wedding planner extraordinaire, named Bonnae as “The Queen of Confections”. She is also recognised as one of the world’s best patissiers by leading publisher Thames and Hudson. Her beautiful coffee table book BUTTERFLIES AND ALL THINGS SWEET showcasing her cake creations won three prestigious international awards in 2014.

With her superbly honed eye, Bonnae opened C’est la B, a precious little gem of a café-bar with an intimate, cosy atmosphere that reflects her unique sense of style to art, design and food.
